How do TIE BREAKERS work?

This isn't just some arbitrary decision. I put THOUGHT into this. I'm not one of those lazy serial killers with a game show. Here's how it works:
  • If no one has died after all choices and combat have been resolved I use a sort of Rock-Paper-Scissors logic to chose which players are killed.
  • If anyone attacked and was defended, all attackers die (they are weak)
  • If no one attacked, people defended and people also grabbed the money, the defenders die (they are cowards)
  • If everyone grabbed the money, then everyone dies (they are all greedy).
  • So basically... Attack > Money > Defend > Attack

  1. Just wondering about something not covered in this explanation, if everyone in the tiebreaker attacks or everyone defends, would everyone involved die or would there be a rare mass sparing? Sincerely, Someone who probably will be playing fairly soon.

    1. Everyone dies, just had this happen in a game recently.

    2. Not quite. If everyone defends then yes, everyone dies. They should have taken the money, shouldn't they? But if everyone attacks, then it all comes down to who attacked who. Whoever did NOT get attacked survives, everyone else... gone.

    3. I just wondering who the system decides who attacks first? The quickest, or the one with most money?

    4. Timing doesn't matter. The wounds aren't enough to kill on their own. You still attack, even if you already got stabbed (at least that's how our exchange of blows worked)

    1. Same for me on the PS4. Two players, one had sword and the other shield. Then the game froze on the page with this blog link. Super fun up until that point.

  5. YDKJ Superfan here since early 90s when I was <18. Thanks for always being awesome, brilliant, and such a fun group of developers. Your new game has made it on the list of my top favorites. Say Hi to Cookie for me. And Dilly O'Dien. And Old Man. And the rest of the cast.

  9. Something also no covered is the classic "3-way tie" like in a game of Rock Paper Scissors between three people. What were to happen if say, the first guy took rock, the second guy took paper, and the third guy took scissors? Who lives (if any) and who dies (if any)?

    3. If the attacker attacked someone defending, attacker dies. If the attacker attacks someone grabbing money, money grabber dies
